Types of Contaminants
#1 Best Building Pressure Washing
The building in the picture above was contaminated with carbon. This is what atmospheric pollution will do to buildings in Chicago over time. One of the things that make brick hard to clean is that being clay it seems to suck up everything. Even the pollution. It doesn’t always want to let it go as easily. In some cases, it takes specialty cleaners called restoration cleaners to help loosen the carbon from the surface.
The problem with restoration cleaners is that you have to know what you are doing when using them. Why? Because they can cause damage if not used right. I know you have probably heard a lot of disclaimers before on other products and thought “what are they talking about? This one is for real.
Acidic-based restoration cleaners. Where they are really the only products that can loosen the carbon from brick and other surfaces. They can also burn the brick or surface if not used properly or if the wrong type is used on the wrong surface.
Acid-based restoration cleaner will also permanently etch glass if it touches it, which makes this process even harder. In addition, these cleaners can cause blindness and harsh skin burns as well.
To sum it up. This is not something you want to be trying to do yourself or a process you want to let a beginner perform on your property.
